DOUG BODNER, COACH MENTOR

MMHA welcomes Doug Bodner as the coach mentor for Mission Minor Hockey. Doug brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization, and he will be playing a pivotal role in our Mentorship Program of Coaches. 

Mentorship Program of Coaches

The primary goal of this program is to assist coaches in their development through various avenues, including but not limited to:  

  • Coaching Evaluation
  • Skill Analysis – Individual Skill Performance
  • Season Plans
  • Assisting Coaches in Acquiring New Coaching Skills
  • Implementing Long Term Development Plans
  • Practice Plans – Objectives
  • Teaching Techniques
  • Bench Management
  • Error Correction
  • Communication with Parents
  • Self-Evaluation

Background

  • HP 2 (Level 5) Certification 
  • 27 years as a Facilitator with BC Hockey and Hockey Canada, coaching through to HP Group Leader 
  • Five years as Coach Evaluator and Coordinator for LM Skill Development Facilitator
  • Twice Head Coach for Lower Mainland BC Winter Games 
  • Scout for the PA Raiders
